YouTube is offering Super Chat for its live streaming service. Super Chat is a Business Model (BM) that digs mainly into two desires: 1) desire to be recognized and 2) desire to communicate.

As for the user, by sending Super Chat, 1) one can stand out from the pack semi-permanently — at the moment of sending via the highlighted message and during the lifespan of the show via the leader board — and 2) dramatically increase the chance that the streamer reply.
